From India With Love
As a part of the tourism exchange programme, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has planned elaborate events in the two cities of Russia i.e. Moscow and St. Petersburg. The central theme of the India Events is the promotion of tourism to India. The Grand Incredible India Evenings will have dance performance by Ms. Tanusree Shankar and her troupe from India. Ms. Tanusree Shankar is one of the leading dancers of India and her troupe is one of the best today in the country. She has been able to potray the India feeling through her dance all over the World. The dance performance is followed by a Gala Indian dinner put together by select Indian Chefs. The menu has been selected from all parts of the country and bear the rich taste and style of that part of the India Cuisine. This Indian menu has been cooked by the master Chefs who have been selected from different cities of the country. The cooks are so expert that the food will be as soft as one can imagine. The Incredible India Events are being held at the best locations in Moscow i.e. Hotel Ritz Carlton, Moscow and in St. Petersburg at Grand Hotel Europe, on 22 Sept 2009 and 24th September, 2009 respectively. These events have been put together for select audience of business and tourism professionals. In collaboration with the Hotel Ritz Carlton, Moscow and Grand Hotel Europe, St. Petersburg, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in association with Indian Tourism Development Corporation and Experience India Society is celebrating 4 days Indian Food Festival at Ritz Carlton, Moscow from 23-26 September, 2009 and 3 days Indian Food Festival at Grand Hotel Europe, St. Petersburg from 25-27 September, 2009. A group of 12 celebrity Chefs have been flown from various parts of India to Moscow and St. Petersburg for making the event pan Indian. It is expected that connoisseur of Indian food can experience delicious dishes cooked by very experienced and master Chefs from India. Otdykh Leisure Fair is being held in Moscow from 22-25 September, 2009. India Tourism has got a bigger space this year in the travel show with a design which is half contemporary and half modern, but gives out the colour of India effectively. There are some stakeholders from province of Kerala who are also present. The activities around this travel fairs are Indian dance and music, taste of Indian snacks, Henna painting, Bangle trying etc. All these attractive activities are there for the visitors to make use of it. Apart from the B2B meetings, press meet has been arranged at the Crocus Exhibition Centre, Pavillion 1, Conference Room No. 3 where the India delegation lead by Mr. Sanjay Kothari, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, New Delhi will brief the media on successes of the India Tourism scene. Tourism from Russia to India has grown over 20 % in 2008 compared to 2007. Around 93000 Russian have explored India during 2008 and it is estimated that during this year we will cross 100000 marks.
