Otdykh LEISURE in "Crocus" wins competition with Expo center

After four years of confusing situation with two travel exhibitions held under similar names at the same dates in September in Moscow, International and Russian tourism industry can now return to traditional timetable of tourism events held in Russia: 16th international trade fair for tourism Otdykh LEISURE, organized by Euroexpo in International Exhibition Center “Crocus Expo” will be again the only global tourism event held in Moscow in autumn. The Organizer of the parallel event in Expo Center ITE Group has cancelled its event in 2010 and will not organize it in the future. In return, Euroexpo will not be involved in organization of ITM Intourmarket exhibition in March and will consider autumn exhibition as a priority.

This decision was long awaited by tourism professionals worldwide as it stops confusion within the industry and, it will allow exhibitors and visitors to optimize their budgets, time and interests and to concentrate on one annual autumn event only. A timetable of b2b travel exhibitions will herewith return to its stable and most convenient situation with two global events – one in September, and one in March.

16th Otdykh LEISURE exhibition will be held 21 – 24 September 2010 in IEC Crocus Expo, it will be again organized by Euroexpo, the leading trade fairs organizer in Russia. Otdykh LEISURE is part of MATIW – Moscow autumn travel industry week, which also includes LUXURY Leisure exhibition, MIBEXPO Russia exhibition and conference as well as SPA & Health Conference.

In 2009 MaTIW featured 23 000 sqm exhibition space, over 1500 exhibiting companies from 65 countries; MaTIW attracted over 65 000 visitors.

Crocus Expo is the newest state-of-the-art exhibition center in Moscow. The venue is easy to get to: in December 2009 a new metro station was opened directly on the fair grounds.
