Latvia will have a joint exposition at «Otdykh/Leisure 2011»

From 21 till 24 September at IEC «Crocus Expo» everybody who loves travelling — from professionals to common travellers — will be able to get a complete view of Latvia as an interesting, rich in surprises tourist destination. Latvia will make a single exposure at pavilion 1, «Crocus Expo».

Latvia is situated in the north-east of Europe on the coast of Baltic Sea. Advantageous geographical location makes Latvia a real center of the Baltic States, which are usually related to the neighboring Estonia and Lithuania. In the east Republic of Latvia is bordered by Russia and Belarus.

Today Latvia is a member of the European Union and it is a part of the Schengen Area, which makes it quite attractive for tourism. The resort town of Jurmala, located on the bank of the Gulf of Riga, is known far outside the country. Latvian Switzerland is a picturesque valley of the wayward river Gauja. Endless sandy beaches, fishing villages and well-attended cities, green hills and pine forests — this is Latvia, where every corner is impregnated with love and hospitality of local residents.
