More exotics at OTDYKH/Leisure-2012

In 2012 the holiday destinations such as Latin America and the Caribbean show a record rise in tourist flow from Russia. From 30 different destinations the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cuba became the most popular ones. The Dominican Republic Tourism Board in the RF and CIS countries reported that for the last 9 months of 2011 the country had been visited by more than 77 000 Russian tourists, almost 62% more as compared to the same months of the previous year.

Growth in demand for «exotics» will have an impact on the exposition area at the forthcoming fair. According to the Organizer of the most significant event for the travel industry OTDYKH/Leisure, the total stands’ area of Latin America and the Caribbean will double and promises to be the most rapidly increasing at the autumn tourism show.

Mexico Tourism Board and Columbia will double their display areas too. The Dominican Republic’s exhibition space will increase fourfold. There will be also more participating tour operators and hotels on the national stands of Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil and Cuba. Companies from Peru, Ecuador, Chili, Costa-Rica will take part in the exhibition within their national pavilions and with individual stands.
