The great celebration of «Ramadan in Dubai»

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai, the participant of Leisure 2012 exhibition in Moscow, Hall 3 stand 3D1, announced the launch of a new promotional campaign called «Ramadan in Dubai» aimed at sharing the Islamic values, heritage and traditions.

The 11th Ramadan Forum will take place from 24 July-04 August. The Forum’s program includes 14 lectures dedicated to Islam and Quran, the annual Dubai International Holy Quran Award ceremony, as well as iftar buffets for 90,000 people. The Islamic chorus will be singing in the trade centers of the city, and every day the morning and evening iftars will be served in Dubai World Trade Centre. The city will be festively decorated in this period, and restaurants, shops will be open until late night. Residents and visitors of the emirate will be able to participate in various charity events. Some big centers will organize special charity areas where everyone could bring toys, books or clothes for the orphans.

Modhesh World, the children’s entertainment centre, will also bring families together to encourage children to discover the traditions, meanings and values of Islam and Ramadan until August, 22.

Ramadan is the Muslims' month of fasting during which food and drink, as well as smoking are prohibited from dawn to sunset. Even chewing gum is not allowed. All restaurants and cafes will be closed including those in the hotels with outside entrance. Room service is available for the tourists.
