NTK Intourist, the strategic partner of OTDYKH/Leisure works out the Golden Ring Tour in Baikal region

NTK Intourist together with Baikal Tour Service starts developing new tourist destinations in the East Siberia and the Far East. The tours will be worked out similarly to the famous «Golden Ring» tour in Central Russia.

At the end of August Intourist with partners held their first working trip to lay out a route for a systematic cross-border tour. The experts have examined and analyzed the possible ways through Kyahtinsky, Selenge, Tarbagatajsky, Ivolginsk, Kabansk, Baikal, Barguzin areas of the Republic of Buryatia as well as Olkhon, Irkutsk, Bayanday, Ekhirit-Bulagat areas of Irkutsk region and the cities of Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk.

According to Denis Zaitsev, Director of NTK Intourist Domestic Tourism Department, the new tour will include visiting ancient cities where unique Russian historical and cultural monuments have been preserved, as well as handicraft centres. The tourists will also see non-mass tourism places. The cities and centres may differ for every particular tour.

The next step will be the development of Trans-Baikal, Khabarovsk and Primorye regions, and working out of combined tours, like the Far East — People’s Republic of China or the Far East — Republic of Mongolia.

During the trip, the experts examined and selected tourist attractions and recreation facilities of Baikal region. The first tourists can try the new tours in the beginning of 2013.
