Record number of Russian regions at OTDYKH 2018
The 24th International Forum and Exhibition OTDYKH 2018 will take place on
More than 40 regions have already confirmed their participation in the industry’s main event, which travel industry experts consider as a start of the autumn-winter season. Among the OTDYKH newcomers are the Republic of Buryatia and Omsk Region. The visitors will have an opportunity to meet again the specialists form the Republic of Crimea, Stavropol Territory, Sverdlovsk region at the regional stands.
The “Silver Necklace” project, which brings together the North-Western regions, has expanded its stand. We will see more exhibitors at the stands of the Republic of Komi, Kaliningrad and Vologda regions. The Republic of Tatarstan, the Perm Territory, and Tyumen will present their tourist products at the regional stands and at the stand of the “The Imperial Route” project. “Living Lessons” project and the “Industrial Tourism” stand will bring together specialists from the regions specializing on these tourism types.
In addition to exhibiting, representatives of regional tourism offices and committees, tourist information centers will actively participate in the exhibition’s business programme. The key event is the All-Russia meeting on inbound and domestic tourism development in Russia. The delegates will discuss the issues of development and promotion of health, resort, culinary, MICE and other types of tourism, experience exchange between regions in promoting domestic tourism in Russia, and territorial marketing.
Russian regions have a significant potential in the development of almost all types of tourism: from the beach tourism on the Black Sea coast to the industrial tourism in the Urals and the Arctic tourism in the most northern parts of the country. Participation in OTDYKH 2018 International Forum and Exhibition allows the territories to present their tourism opportunities, products, brands, excursions and other tourist services for travelers from Russia and abroad, and to establish business contacts with travel companies and tourism market players.
