Post Release of the 10th International Trade Fair for Luxury Travel OTDYKH LUXURY

OTDYKH LUXURY is a specially designed exhibition representing the exclusive offers of international and Russian travel agencies dealing with individual and VIP tours, unique resorts, luxury hotels, destinations and other luxury travel segment. OTDYKH LUXURY was taking place on 16-19 September within OTDYKH International Travel Market.

OTDYKH LUXURY exposition represented companies from all over the world, providing an excellent opportunity to choose a custom programme for the most demanding consumers. Among the exhibitors of OTDYKH LUXURY 2014 there were Blue Sea Weddings (Greece), Let's Go Maldives (Maldives), Pleasant & Gorgeous (Portugal), Special Travel Club (Russia), Submaldives Private Limited (Maldives), Viajes Caribe Maya (Mexico), Zillertal resort (Austria), Baqueira Beret resort (Spain), “Slavian Tours” (Brazil) and many others.

It is hardly possible to know the true temperament and local colour of any country without discovering its national cuisine. Following the global trends in tourism, the organizers of the exhibition for the first time introduced Gourmet & Wine Travel section. Chateau Maison Noble (France), FrancoTour (France/Russia), Ad Hoc il Tartufo (Italy), GEAC Spa (Italy), Museum of the Russian Desserts, Inkerman-Wine Tours showed their gourmet offers.

The highlight of the section was a series of cooking master classes organized with the exhibition’s partner “BreadSalt” magazine. The national cuisines of 13 countries were represented during the show, including Uzbekistan, Russia, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Mexico, China, Slovakia, Thailand, Serbia, Japan, Italy, UAE. Natalie Tours, Transaero Tour and the National Tourism Organization of Serbia, the Sponsors of some thematic of master-classes raffled off memorable prizes among the participants of the cooking show.

On 16-18 September Lounge Zone hosted a series of non-stop open seminars. Blue Sea Weddings wedding agency prepared a special costume show “Once upon a time in Greece” with drawing of a wedding in Greece for two. Pleasant & Gorgeous, the Palace of Congresses, Welna Eco Resort, World of Brazil demonstrated spectacular presentations. Fetiche and Slavian Tours showed the guests exciting movies about the Spanish ski resort of Baqueira Beret and Brazilian regions.

Leading industry experts discussed the global development trends of food & wine tourism at the 1st International Conference for gourmet and wine travel “Travelling with Taste” that took place on 18 September at the open presentation area of the Lounge Zone.

The Conference moderator Leonid Gelibterman, the president of the International enogastronomic center, noted that Russia had a huge potential in this area, and it should be developed by holding thematic international events.

The specially invited guest from Portugal - Jose Borralho, Member of Board of Advisors of the World Food Travel Association, President of the Portuguese Culinary Tourism and Economy Association spoke about the development of gourmet tourism in luxury segment. The presentation of Clara Ceretto, head of Marketing & Information Department of the Langhe Roero Tourist Board (Italy) was dedicated to the World Heritage hills of wine and truffle of Langhe and Roero in South Piedmont. Pierre Gabriel Papadia, the General Council of the Embassy of Italy in Moscow was also among the Conference speakers.

The Conference audience heard with great interested the report on the peculiarities of marketing and promotion of wine and gourmet tours in the world, presented by Lyudmila Nikitina, the editorial director of Jamie Magazine in Russia. Olga Lobanova, the sales director of Yaroslavl Convention Bureau spoke about the new insight into the Golden Ring of Russia through the lens of gourmet tourism. Victor Michleson, head of Slow Food Moscow-Ulitka Convivium represented the 1st International Gourmet Festival in Moscow region “Russian Taste”.

At the end of the Conference Chateau Maison Noble raffled off astonishing French wine among the Conference participants. In total, the Conference attended more than 260 delegates.

The 11th International Trade Fair for Luxury Travel OTDYKH LUXURY 2015 will take place on 15-18 September 2015 in IEC “Crocus Expo”.
