The 9-th International Meeting Industry and Business Travel Exhibition & Conference MIBEXPO Russia’2013 will be held on 17 September within the Moscow International Autumn Travel Industry Week — MATIW. The Conference will bring together the Mice industry experts to share experience, to discuss industry development problems and to find new ways to improve the business travel industry.
A strong business travel market has been established and ever since it has been developing globally, in spite of the global economic crisis and deep social and economic changes in the world community. The modern global MICE industry is developing and adopting new regulations and standards. As regards Russia, it also assumes a significant range of social commitments related to this country’s accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in August 2012.
In addition, the business success in the 21st century depends not only on economics, politics, and other external factors, but also on the level of the industry workers’ cross-cultural competence. Modern society faces a topical problem of impending massive generational change in the industry personnel and the age bracket of business travellers. Yuriy Sarapkin, the Conference moderator noted that «Obviously, without understanding the crux of these problems, no vision of the industry’s future or its transition to a new, contemporary development model would be possible.»
Among the Conference speakers there will be the representatives of the major international companies: ICCA Central European Chapter Chairperson, Vice President of MPI Poland, GOST Luxury Clubs commercial director, the general director of Diversity World Cross-Cultural Communication and Language Learning Centre, and others. The Conference will highlight business tourism trends and development prospects, cross — cultural and interpersonal relationships in the meetings industry, as well as Luxury MICE sector.
